Like seriously, I made myself sick last Friday
Just the thought of showing some old crusty guy my portfolio and having him shove it in my face with a "YOUR ART SUCKS WORSE THAN [insert catchy jargon here]" makes me not want to get out of bed in the morning.
I have a PRATT Portfolio Day on Decemeber 4. I thought I would be excited about it, but the more I think about going, the more I want to stiff the dude that shows up. Btdub, if you're wondering how I know its a dude, I can't really remember but I think I read in some e-mail that PRATT sent implying it was a guy.
Anyway, I'm stressed out of my mind. AP Art is exhausting with homework due at the end of every week. I think we're supposed to have #3 done by this Friday. Yeah, I haven't even finished my sketchbook's name page.
You know, I'm reading what I just wrote over and the first insult I came up with when I reread the "YOUR ART SUCKS WORSE THAN blah blah blah" was: "YOUR ART SUCKS WORSE THAN MY WIFE." Not sure why that was the first thing to cross my mind but it grossed me out entirely.
I've been progressively been losing the will to draw now-a-days. I think it's my new art teacher. Everytime I show her my art homework (all usually "works in progress" according to her) she doesn't say a word on its quality and my art persona has been taking a nose dive as a result. I know I'm not the best but an occasional ego stroke wouldn't hurt xD.
Okay, I've probably ranted enough for now. To tell that truth, this (and several other subjects) has been on my mind for quite some time and it feels good to type it out.
